This engineering tool (10) is provided with a program display editing unit (11) that distinguishes between a formal program that is operated as an actual product and a debugging program that is used to verify the operation of the formal program and edits the result so that the debugging program is executed by a controller when the debugging program is selected and the formal program is executed by the controller without executing the debugging program when the debugging program is not selected.
