PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device for achieving a focus operation having higher accuracy.SOLUTION: The disclosed imaging device includes an image processing for calculating a value about a focus position on the basis of first image data generated when a focus lens is located at a first position, and second image data generated when the focus lens is located at a second position where the focus lens moves a first movement amount from the first position, a control part for determining the movement amount of the focus lens, and a drive part for driving the focus lens. The control part determines whether a value about a focus position exists within a prescribed range, (i) determines the next movement amount of the focus lens at a second movement amount obtained by increasing the first movement amount when determining that the value about the focus position does not exist within a first prescribed range, and (ii) determines the next movement amount of the focus lens as a third movement amount obtained by reducing the first movement amount when determining that the value about the focus position exists within the first range. |
