PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a glass plate etc., in which a glass plate of high quality can be manufactured without generating any loss of clarity in a molten glass nor making a heterogeneous molten glass during molding of the molten glass using a molding.SOLUTION: There is provided a manufacturing method for a glass plate in which a glass plate is manufactured by making a molten glass flow to a molding, the manufacturing method for a glass place including: a dissolution process of dissolving a glass raw material to produce the molten glass; a supply process of supplying the molten glass to the molding through a transfer pipe; and a molding process of molding the glass plate out of the molten glass by a down-draw method while making the molten glass flow to a groove part of the molding. When the molten glass is supplied from the transfer pipe to the groove part of the molding in the supply process, a section with a reverse pressure gradient where static pressure is higher upstream than downstream is specified, and the molten glass is heated within a range from a peel point as an upstream-side end of the section with the reverse pressure gradient to a re-sticking point as a downstream-side end of the section with the reverse pressure gradient to control the difference between static pressure at the peel point and static pressure at the re-sticking point to be less than a reference value. |
