A center body attachment system is disclosed. A center body attachment system may permit a center body to be attached to an engine, while permitting various components to expand and contract independently when heated and cooled. In this manner, a center body may be made of a material having a different coefficient of thermal expansion than various components of the engine, such as an engine flange to which the center body is mounted. Thus, a center body may be made of materials having advantageous different material properties, for example, lighter and/or more heat-tolerant materials. |
