FREQUENCY-VARIABLE TERAHERTZ OSCILLATOR AND METHOD FOR MAKING SAME

[Problem] To provide a frequency-variable terahertz oscillator being small in size and continuously having a large frequency sweep width even at a room temperature. [Solution] A slot antenna is provided, and a resonant tunnel diode and a varactor diode are arranged in parallel to each other along the slot antenna. DC voltages are applied to the resonant tunnel diode and varactor diode, respectively, thereby enabling oscillation to occur in a terahertz frequency band.
