PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power unit capable of suppressing overshooting of an output voltage of a power factor improvement circuit when the electric power unit starts up or when the level of an AC source voltage momentarily drops.SOLUTION: An electric power unit 20 includes a rectification circuit 2, a power factor improvement circuit 14, an inverter circuit 11, and a microcomputer 13. The microcomputer 13 is configured to bring the power factor improvement circuit 14 under feedback control so that a DC voltage Vdc reaches a target value Vdc_aim, to lower the target value Vdc_aim to a value corresponding to the current DC voltage Vdc when the DC voltage Vdc drops so that the difference between the target value Vdc_aim and DC voltage Vdc exceeds a threshold voltage Vdc_sa, and to perform first special control to put the target value Vdc_aim back gradually up to the original value. |
