PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of performing drawing of an upper container easily while suppressing wasteful leakage of cold air when opening a door of a drawer door type storage chamber.SOLUTION: A refrigerator is configured by including: a lower stage container 21 drawn by drawing opening/closing of a door; an upper stage container 22 engaged with the lower stage container and drawn with the lower stage container; and engagement release means 33 for releasing engagement of the upper stage container with respect to the lower stage container in the middle of drawing of the lower stage container. Thereby, the upper stage container is drawn together with the lower stage container when the door is drawn and opened; however, in the middle of that, the engagement of the lower stage container and the upper stage container is released, so that the upper stage container stays at the position while only the lower stage container is drawn further. As a result, only a front portion of the upper stage container is exposed from a refrigerator body and leakage of cold air is suppressed greatly, and also, the front portion can be recognized easily from the outside of the refrigerator body, and it can be drawn by putting a hand at the front portion of the upper stage container easily. |
