PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image measuring instrument that attains improvement in operability by enabling repeated measurements without conducting an equal interval arrangement such as an array state and circular state upon measuring a plurality of identical shape works and irrespective to a work pose.SOLUTION: An image measuring instrument 1 including a movable X-Y stage 13 along orthogonal X-Y axes comprises: means (CCD camera 16) that photographs a plurality of measured objects 12 having the same shape loaded on the X-Y stage 13; means (computer system 2) that identifies position of each measured object 12 and rotation angle thereof by a preliminarily registered image pattern and pattern matching; and means 2 that uses the identified position and/or rotation angle to measure a dimension of each measured object 12, and detects a coordinate value of each measured object 12 on the X-Y stage 13. |
