PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a rare-earth sintered magnet by which warp and deformation, and further cracks and breakage of a sintered body can be prevented and thus rare-earth sintered magnets of a deformed type such as C-type or D-type of high quality can be stably produced with high manufacture yield, thereby improving the efficiency of manufacture and having high industrial value.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a rare-earth sintered magnet is performed by using a mold in which a lower punch comprises a plurality of divided punches divided so as to be movable individually in a pressing direction in the mold, and includes: arranging a part of the divided punch among the plurality of divided punches to be positioned higher than the remaining divided punches; filling a cavity with rare-earth sintered magnet alloy powder; lowering the part of the divided punch to a position so that the part of the divided punch and the remaining divided punches form a shape of the lower punch in pressing; in a state of holding the shape of a pressing surface of the lower punch in pressing, pressing the rare-earth sintered magnet alloy powder by an upper punch and the lower punch and molding the same by uniaxial pressing in a magnetic field to obtain a compact; and heat treating the compact. |
