PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controlled cooling installation and controlled cooling method, capable of suppressing warp in small plates as product plates cut off from a large plate after controlled cooling, by performing controlled cooling of the large plate.SOLUTION: In a controlled cooling installation, based on dimensions, components and a cooling temperature condition of a processing target large plate, an upper-face side coolant flow rate and a lower-face side coolant flow rate and a ratio of upper and lower flow rates of the processing target large plate are set. From an actual result database, in which the past results of the respective dimensions, components, cooling temperature conditions and the ratios of upper and lower flow rates of the large plates in the past are associated to the past results of shape information of the small plates in the past, the respective past results are extracted, regarding the ratios of upper and lower flow rates of the large plate in the past and the results of the shape information of the small plate in the past which correspond to the processing target large plate. Then, on the basis of correlation of the respective past results between the ratios of upper and lower flow rates and the shape information thus extracted, the set ratio of upper and lower flow rates is corrected. The upper-face side coolant flow rate and the lower-face side coolant flow rate which have been set are controlled so as to satisfy the corrected ratio of upper and lower flow rates, before spraying the coolant on both upper and lower faces of the processing target large plate to perform controlled cooling of the processing target large plate. |
