PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignitor which improves ignitability when an alcohol concentration in fuel is changed in an FFV vehicle.SOLUTION: An ignitor blocks a primary current by using an ignition switch, and inputs, to the grounding side of a primary coil, energy for generating a secondary current so as to be maintained in the same direction and at a prescribed target value in a prescribed energy input period after the discharge of an ignition plug is generated by a secondary voltage. Input energy setting means sets a control value of inputted energy on the basis of the information on an alcohol concentration which is acquired from alcohol concentration detection means. Concretely, a target secondary current I2is set high as the alcohol concentration in fuel is high, or an energy input period IGW is set long. Since current does not zero-cross like a conventional technology which alternates the secondary current, the generation of blow-off can be prevented, and even if the alcohol concentration is high, and an atomization capacity is lowered, favorable ignitability can be secured. |
