The purpose of the present invention is to provide a fuel pump drive control device capable of preventing suctioning of air by a fuel pump and of discharging air in a fuel supply channel connecting the fuel pump with an injector. A fuel pump drive control device is provided with an injector that injects fuel to an engine, a fuel pump that suctions fuel in a fuel tank, a regulator that returns part of the fuel suctioned by the fuel pump to the fuel tank, and a fuel supply channel for sending the fuel suctioned by the fuel pump to the injector, wherein the device is further provided with a fuel amount detection means for detecting a remaining amount of the fuel in the fuel tank and characterized in that the fuel pump is driven or not driven in such a manner that the fuel pump is driven only when the fuel pump can suction the fuel, thereby driving the fuel pump for a predetermined period of time. |
