The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for crushing scraps. The apparatus for crushing scraps comprising: a support frame (110); a main body housing (120) installed on an upper portion of the support frame (110); a crushing unit (140) which is joined to an inner space of the main body housing (120) in a lengthwise direction of the main body housing (120) and is rotated; and a crushing plate (130) which is joined to the inside of the main body housing (120) and is located under the crushing unit (140). Metal scraps are interposed between the crushing unit (140) and the crushing plate (130) and are torn to be crushed. Therefore, the apparatus for crushing scraps can not only automatically and rapidly crush scraps such as aluminum but also sieve impurities in an easy manner. |
