The present invention relates to a method for selectively recovering valuable metal from light emitting diode (LED) waste, and more specifically to a method for selectively recovering valuable metal such as silver (Ag), indium (In), gallium (Ga), and gold (Au) contained in an LED chip separated from LED waste. According to the present invention, the valuable metal contained in the LED chip separated from a poor LED generated during the LED manufacturing process or the LED waste disused after a usage is selectively recovered such that a recovery ratio of the valuable metal is increased by an effective process of recovering the valuable metal from the waste LED scrap not to be a recycled resource, thereby contributing to recycling of a resource. Moreover, the valuable metal is recovered from the LED waste to prevent environmental pollution. The method for selectively recovering the valuable metal from the LED wastes comprises: (P100) a step of selectively separating only an LED chip from the LED waste; (P200) a thermal treatment step; (P300) a grinding step: (P400) an Ag recovery step; (P500) an In recovery step; (P600) a Ga recovery step: and (P700) an Au recovery step. |
