Saw with a handle 1 and blade member 2, the handle comprising grip 12 and guard 13 sections separated by a hole 11. The guard section comprises a pivoted swing arm 15 with at least two bars or pegs 142, 151 corresponding to holes at one end of the blade, which comprise at least one closed 23 and one open 22 hole, such that the blade may be mounted on the arm. The guard section of the handle is hollow such that the arm may pivot into it, thus guiding the blade into a groove 141 and securing it in place. A fixing device, which may be a clasp or bolt arrangement, locks the arm to retain it in place. At least one of the bars can move laterally to engage or disengage the blade. There may be additional bars to accommodate different styles of blade. At least one of the bar and hole pairs may have a varying diameter configuration to provide additional security. |
