<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively and easily manufacture products capable of responding to different numbers of colors while eliminating waste of parts. <P>SOLUTION: In this method of manufacturing a liquid discharge device which includes a recording head unit configured by combining a plurality of recording heads having a plurality of nozzle rows constituted of a plurality of nozzles for liquid discharge, to achieve a structure in which a plurality of colors of inks used for recording are allocated to the recording heads to enable discharge of the allocated ink from each of the nozzles within the recording heads, the number of recording heads constituting the recording head unit and the number of ink colors allocated to one recording head are set constant regardless of total numbers of ink colors used for the recording. According to the total number of the colors and the number of ink colors allocated to one recording head, the plurality of recording heads constituting the recording head unit are grouped, and combinations of the ink colors allocated to the recording heads are made to vary according to the group. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
