<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejecting apparatus, which is capable of preventing a liquid ejection head from adhesion of dust, when there is a risk of the dust generated from the end of a recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus includes: a conveying roller 12 for conveying a recording sheet P from an upstream side of the conveying direction to a place between a nozzle forming surface 22a of the recording head 22 and a support member 30, by rotating the roller while holding the recording sheet between the pair of rollers 12a and 12b, capable of holding the recording sheet from both sides; and a catching member 41 arranged for taking a state of position being a nozzle forming surface side for the end of the upstream side of the conveying direction in the recording sheet passing from the upstream side to the downstream side of the conveying direction at the holding position, in the catching position between a position of holding the recording sheet by the rollers and an opposite position facing the nozzle forming surface of the recording sheet on the support member on the conveying path for conveying the recording sheet and between the support member and the nozzle forming surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
