<p>The apparatus (5) has an electromotor (14) obtaining electrical power from rotary movement of a laundry drum (12). A motor controller (18) controls a vibration damper (24) depending upon vibration movement of the laundry drum to damp vibration movement of the drum, where the movement is detected by a vibration sensor (28) or an acceleration sensor. The vibration damper is designed as an electric controllable friction damper. The controller controls the electromotor to slow down the rotating movement of the drum. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a laundry treatment apparatus.</p> |
