A communication system that informs a user whether an item is or not packed in container such as a bag 1, allowing the contents of the bag 1 to be tracked. A tag 10 is attached or imbedded on the item that has an identification number such a RFID or NFC tag, which can be scanned by a RFID or NFC reader (4, fig 2) within the bag 1. Notification to the user that an item has been or not been scanned can be visual via the use of lights 6 or a screen (12, fig 3), audio via a speaker 2 and or via haptic feedback via a vibo motor 3. In use the items are initially scanned and logged onto the system, and thereafter the system will inform the user if the item has been packed in the bag or not via one or more notification means. The system may be battery powered, and capable of being charged via a USB port. The bag 1 may have a liner (15, fig 4) to disable any external scanning of the tagged items. The handle 8 may have a sensor that activates the system. The system may be embedded into the bag or retro fitted as an attachment. |
