<p>A hand tool comprising a cutter 10 with a shaft 20 and at least one cutting edge 12 arranged to extend beyond the exterior surface of the shaft and the cutting edge arranged substantially parallel with the longitudinal axis of the shaft. The cutting edge is preferably L-shaped and may be releasably secured to the shaft by a locking mechanism comprising at least one grub screw. The cutter is especially for use in cutting arcuate sections in beams and joists to provide a conduit to run facilities. The invention extends to a plastic conduit (60, figure 7) of generally U-shaped cross section for placing within the arcuate cut made by the cutter. A clamp may also be provided for securing the item to be cut.</p> |
