The present invention provides access control method and system capable of performing a piggybacking prevention function. The access control method according to the present invention comprises the steps of: a) installing a reader on an upper wall of an access door, and determining the number of access objects within a predetermined entrance sensing range; b) installing a reader on a side wall of the access door, and determining the number of access objects within the predetermined entrance sensing range; c) in the case that the number of the objects determined in the step a) is the same as the number of the objects in the step b), setting the determined number of the objects as the final number of the objects, and in the case that the number of the objects in the step a) is not the same as the number of the objects in the step b), repeating the step c); d) receiving object count information approved by at least two readers; e) opening the access door, and determining the number of objects passing through the access door; and f) determining whether a result of subtracting the number of objects determined in the step e) from the overall number of objects is the same as the overall number of objects currently detected, in the case of being not the same, setting a piggybacking phenomenon to output a warning message, and in the case of being the same, repeating the step f) until the number of objects currently detected is zero and feeding back to the initial state. |
