The present invention relates to an electrolyte solution of an electrical double layer capacitor and the electrical double layer capacitor using the same. The electrolyte solution of the present invention is an electrolyte solution of the electrical double layer capacitor including an electrolyte and a solvent. The electrolyte includes Quaternary ammonium BF4 salts including cation larger than Tetramethylammonium cation during dissociation and Tetramethylammonium Tetrafluoroborate including Tetramethylammonium cation during dissociation.The quaternary ammonium BF4 salts and Tetramethylammonium Tetrafluoroborate are mixed in a mole ratio of 1:0.01 ~ 0.3. If the electrolyte solution of the present invention is used, it is possible to improve discharge capacitance of the electrical double layer capacitor.
