PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide inkjet recording paper with higher surface gloss which excels not only in inkjet printability such as ink absorbency, chromogenic property and printing density, but also in offset printability.SOLUTION: This inkjet recording paper is provided with at least one pigment application layer primarily consisting of a pigment and an adhesive on at least one side of its support. It is characterized by containing needle-like and/or columnar light calcium carbonate in the pigment, where 50 vol.% of particle diameter (D) of the particle size distribution curve in the light calcium carbonate measured by laser diffractometry ranges 0.2-0.7 μm, and also the ratio (DDbetween 90 vol.% of particle diameter (D) to 10 vol.% of particle diameter (D) is 8 or less. |
