<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging device capable of avoiding unexpected release of connection between a charging port and a charging connector during charging. <P>SOLUTION: A charging device includes: a charging port of a vehicle; an engaged part provided on a vehicle side; an engaging member provided in a charging connector; a tabular restricting member in which a notch part and a plate part are formed; and restricting means which can switch between a state in which alienation of the engaging member and the engaged part is restricted when the plate part is positioned on an alienation direction side of the engaging member by the rotation of the restricting member and a state in which alienation of the engaging member and the engaged part is not restricted when the notch part is positioned on the alienation direction side of the engaging member by the rotation of the restricting member.
