A mobile device stores (2956) the profile information; receives (2957) a short-range wireless message from a proximate device; identifies (2960) relevant profile information within the stored profile information that is authorized to be shared based on the received message; and transmits (2966) a message including the identified relevant profile information that is authorized to be shared.
