In a method of electrical recording applicable to copying-telegraphy, the impulses are utilized to volatilize parts of a thin metallic coating formed on a layer of paper or on an insulating layer formed on a paper base. Molten metal, e.g. tin, aluminium, or nickel, may be projected by the "Schoop" process on black paper which is subsequently rolled. The metal may be deposited on a layer of asphalt covering the paper base.
