摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing packaged cooked rice in which in a rice cooking method for packaged cooked rice in an extremely short time, the content in a container do not scatter to the circumference when rice is cooked. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing packaged cooked rice includes a rice supply step of feeding a prescribed amount of rice to a container having an open top, a water addition step of filling the container with a prescribed amount of cooking water, a rice cooking step of simultaneously using two heat sources of pressurized steam and irradiation with microwave in a chamber in a pressurized state to cook the rice, a water supply step of feeding supplementary cooking water after the rice cooking step, a step of hermetically packaging the container after the water supply step. In the preceding step of the rice cooking step, a groove forming step for forming grooves in a layer of rice grain is provided.
