PURPOSE:A soil conditioner improving cation sustainability, increasing amt. of a cation sustained and enhancing agricultural productivity when applied to soil, which is obtd. by using as the main component a hydrated silica-alumina gel deriv. in which the hydroxy group is partially substd. with a fluorine ion. CONSTITUTION:A soil conditioner primarily composed of a hydrated silica-alumina gel deriv. in which the hydroxy group is partially substd. with a fluorine ion. In application, it is possible to directly add a powder or suspension of the gel deriv. to soil or after mixed with a fertilizer or agricultural chemicals when they are applied or sprayed. When the gel deriv. is added to a conventionally used soil conditioner or earth brought from another place, it can be added to the soil when these are applied. The gel deriv. has on its surface NH4<+> corresponding to the amt. of the negative charge, so that application thereof gives an additional effect of supplying a nitrogenous fertilizer. Pores on the gel surface improve water sustainability of the soil because they can adsorb a large amt. of water. |
