<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape printer to which cartridges of two or more types can be attached, and which prints an object such as a symbol mark onto target recording media in the cartridges, the tape printer being able to prevent printing of an object obtained by employing unsuitable coloration. <P>SOLUTION: In the tape printer 1, tape cassettes 30 of two or more types can be loaded in a cassette storage part 20, and print data is printed on a printing tape T under a color condition specific to the loaded tape cassette 30. When a symbol object is input, a CPU 51 compares the cassette color information of the tape cassette 30 loaded in the cassette storage part 20 with unsuitable color information relating to the input symbol object (S15 and S16). As a result of the comparison between the cassette color information and the unsuitable color information, the CPU 51 determines that the loaded tape cassette 30 is not suitable for printing the symbol object, and displays a warning message screen onto a liquid crystal display 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
