The present invention relates to a liquid-stabilized plasmatron, in which the arc burning between the cathode (8) and anode is stabilized by liquid vapors liberated from inner walls of liquid swirls within a stabilization channel of a water stabilization section (10), wherein the invented liquid-stabilized plasmatron anode is formed by a fixed anode nozzle (7) situated behind an exhaust nozzle (4) of the water stabilization section (10) and is separated therefrom by an insulation gap defined by an insulation part (5), whereby at least one inlet (15) of protective gas, particularly inert gas or an oxygen-free gas leads preferably tangentially into the gap extending between the exhaust nozzle (4) and the anode nozzle (7) wherein said inlet is formed by bore-holes in the exhaust nozzle (4), in the anode nozzle (7), in the insulation part (5), therebetween or in the annular space (6) arranged between the anode nozzle (7) and the insulation part (5). |
