APPARATUS AND SYSTEM FOR STREET LIGHT CONTROL, ELECTRONIC DIMMING BALLAST

A street light control apparatus positioned at each distribution unit of a street light system receives a dimming profile through a mobile communications network, and transfers a corresponding dimming profile to an electronic dimming ballast in a way that power source supply of a power line connected to the street light is turned on and off. The electronic dimming ballast receives the dimming profile depending on the on/off state of power source supplied through the power line to execute the control with respect to the street light lamp. Accordingly, setting of the dimming profile with respect to each street light can be easily performed, and a separate communications line or a wireless transceiving apparatus is not needed since power of the power line is used in an on/off manner, thereby reducing costs required for construction and management of a street light system.
