<p>[Problem] To provide an optical module and a method for manufacturing the same capable of easily and accurately positioning a PLC and a plane-type optical element. [Solution] An optical module (10) includes: a PLC (11); a plane-type optical element (12); an optical component (20) which has a mirror (21) for polarizing a light beam (13), which is transmitted between the plane-type optical element (12) and the PLC (11), and is provided between the plane-type optical element (12) and the PLC (11); and a carrier component (30) which has a base (31) for mounting the optical component (20) and a mount surface (32) for mounting the plane-type optical element (12), and allows the optical component (20) and the plane-type optical element (12) to be mounted by adjusting the position of at least either the optical component (20) or the plane-type optical element (12).</p> |
