<p>An electrophoretic display apparatus (100) includes a first substrate (101) including a plurality of pixels (130), a second substrate (102) facing the first substrate, an electrophoretic material (150) between the first and second substrates, and a first electrode (160) on the first substrate or the second substrate. Each pixel (130) includes a reflection part (110) and a second electrode (120). The reflection part (110) is on the first substrate (101) and reflects light incident through the second substrate (102). The second electrode (120) is on the first substrate (101) and adjacent to the reflection part (110). The second electrode (120) forms an electric field with the first electrode (160) such that the electrophoretic material moves to the first electrode (160) or the second electrode (120). An upper surface (120) of the second electrode is positioned at a first height from the first substrate (101) , and an upper surface of an uppermost layer (112) of the reflection part (110) is positioned at a second height higher than the first height.</p> |
