<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolytic capacitor in which a leakage current is reduced and a reduction in capacitance is suppressed, and a method for manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: In the solid electrolytic capacitor of the present invention, an anode 1 has a first region A in the vicinity of the root 2c of an anode lead 2, second regions B in the vicinity of corners 1Ka on the side of one end surface 1a, third regions C between the first region A and the second regions B, and a fourth region D inside the anode in which the anode lead is embedded.
