<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector capable of solving such demerits that handrails sometimes cannot be detached to the front side relative to a wall surface and also to the upper side in parallel with the wall surface, and even when it is possible, reattaching work of handrails to a wall surface is extremely troublesome, a structure is very complicated or the number of components is very large. <P>SOLUTION: A handrail connector comprises: a connection member 1 including a cylindrical member 1a for fitting and fixing one end of a handrail B and a semispherical body 1b integrated with the cylindrical member 1a; a connection member 2 including a semispherical body 2b which can be matched with the semispherical body 1b of the connection member 1; a connection member 3 including a cylindrical member 3a for fitting and fixing one end of another handrail B and a missing cylindrical body 3b integrated with the cylindrical member 3a; and a holding member 4 fitted to a missing part of the connection member 3 to form a cylindrical body with the missing cylindrical body 3b. A groove 2c in a direction along a circumference of the cylindrical member 3a of the connection member 3 is provided on an end of the connection member 2, and the missing cylindrical body 3b of the connection member 3 and the holding member 4 are respectively provided with projection lines 3c and 4c that can be fitted into the groove 2c.
