A freely rotating fluid machine according to the present invention comprises: a main body formed in a hollow cylindrical shape whose inner circumferential surface is formed in an elliptic shape; a rotor disposed in the main body to rotate coaxially with the main body; tip chambers disposed on one side of the rotor to contact the inner circumferential surface of the main body; and a blade disposed between the adjacent tip chambers and supported by the tip chambers. The blade has one end surface facing the inner circumferential surface of the main body and the other end surface opposing the one end surface. A center of a radius of curvature of the one end surface and a center of a radius of curvature of the other end surface can be located on the same side. Accordingly, a space between the inner circumferential surface of the main body, the rotor, and the tip chambers is sealed by an auxiliary tip chamber to reduce friction between the tip chambers and the main body and prevent leakage of operational fluid flown thereinto. |
