<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve micronization of droplets by ejecting minute droplets compared to the diameter of the nozzle. <P>SOLUTION: This liquid ejecting apparatus includes a head including a first element for varying pressure in a chamber and a second element for varying a cross-sectional area of a flow path of a nozzle ejecting liquid in the chamber; and a controller for controlling the drive of the first element and the second element. The controller drives the first element so as to impart outward energy to the liquid in the flow path of the nozzle, and thereafter drives the second element so as to contract the cross-sectional area of the flow path of the nozzle, thereby ejecting droplets from the nozzle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
