<p>A method, apparatus, and computer program product are provided to define the visible content of an image obtained by an image capturing device in a manner that takes into account content of interest that is exterior to the visible content. In the context of a method, an image obtained by an image capturing device is analyzed. The analysis of the image includes analyzing at least peripheral content exterior to visible content presented by a view finder to identify content of interest within the peripheral content. The method may also include, following movement of the image capturing device in a first direction, receiving a subsequent image. The method may also include defining the visible content within the subsequent image based at least in part upon the content of interest identified within the peripheral content. As such, the visible content is not necessarily centered within the subsequent image.</p> |
