[Class 53.] The zinc cup a of a dry cell is covered on its interior surface with a layer c of gelatine which is formed by pouring melted gelatine into the cup, distributing it over the surface of the cup and allowing it to cool. The gelatine is rendered insoluble either before or after application to the cup. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 states that the gelatine layer may be applied to the agglomerate mass of the central electrode instead of to the zinc cup and that gelatine in sheet form may be used. The gelatine may be replaced by glue or other gelatinous or colloid substances. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted. |
