<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grasp the availability of a surface effect of clear toner with improved details. <P>SOLUTION: A print control device includes: a generation unit for generating clear toner version data to which a density value for each pixel is set in accordance with color version data, the presence/absence of one or plural post-process machines connected to a print apparatus and categories of the machines on the basis of glossiness control version data in which a category of surface effect being a visual or tactile effect to be given to a recording medium and a glossiness control value for specifying a region of the recording medium to which the surface effect is given are specified; output means for outputting the generated clear toner version data; an analysis unit for analyzing surface effect specified in the clear toner version data on the basis of the density value set in the clear toner version; and a calculation unit for counting the number of the specified surface effects for each category of the surface effect on the clear toner version and calculating, as a count value, the number of surface effects for each category of the counted surface effect. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
