<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of obtaining aπelectron conjugated compound by imparting low energy, and an efficient method of forming a continuous film of a slightly-solubleπelectron conjugated compound utilizing that technology, and to apply the thin film to an organic electronic device. <P>SOLUTION: In the production method of a film-like body, a film-like body obtaining aπelectron conjugated compound represented by (Ia) is produced by desorbing a desorption substituent represented by formula (II) by means of a coating film formed by coating a substrate with a coating liquid of solvent containing aπelectron conjugated compound precursor (I). (In the formulae (I), (Ia), (II), X and Y represent a hydrogen atom or a desorption substituent. Q<SB POS="POST">2</SB>-Q<SB POS="POST">5</SB>are a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, or a univalent organic group, independently, Q<SB POS="POST">1</SB>and Q<SB POS="POST">6</SB>are a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, or a univalent organic group other than the desorption substituent.
