The present invention relates to a method for producing carbonic ester using organometallic compounds. The method for producing carbonic ester of the present invention includes a step for producing carbonic ester by reacting the organometallic compounds represented by chemical formula 1, carbon dioxide, and alcohol having one to ten carbon atoms. The production method of the present invention ensures the production of carbonic ester in high yield without a regeneration process of the organometallic compounds. In the chemical formula 1, M is a group 4 or 14 element, and R^1 is a hydrocarbon group with one to ten carbon atoms.
