According to the present invention, a Thomson press comprises: a lifting means disposed on a lower portion of a main body, performing a vertical stroke on a work die by a rotational motion of a crank to which a pair of links symmetric about a center selectively transfers a rotational force by a clutch; a rack disposed on a lower surface of a left and a right side of a transport table in a front/rear longitudinal direction to move with the transport table along a guide frame extended from a left and a right side of the work die; a drive shaft fixated on a front surface of the work die to be rotated, and provided with a pinion gear disposed on a left and a right end thereof, geared with the rack disposed on the left and the right side of the transport table and a timing pulley disposed on a middle thereof; a servo motor wherein a timing pulley of the drive shaft and a rotation shaft thereof is connected to a timing belt, and the rotation shaft thereof selectively rotated in a forward or a reverse direction, supplying rotational force to the drive shaft through the timing belt; and an automatic tensioner arranged on one side of the timing belt with a bracket on a lower side of the work die to selectively press the timing belt depending on a rotation direction of the servo motor to adjust tension of the timing belt. The transport table is controlled to accurately stop at a corresponding stop position without the slightest error by the rack and the pinion gear. A rear end of the tensioner moving backwards by the tension of the timing belt which improves durability of a transport means to transport the transport table is detected to stop rotation of the drive shaft based on a signal detected by a proximity sensor to regulate a movement of the transport table to prevent the transport table from being pushed and moved backwards from a stopped point by inertia. |
