FIELD: transport.SUBSTANCE: in protective device (1) of wheel pair axle, anticorrosive coating (3) is made on polyurethane base and is applied directly on axle metal, and protective shell (4) is made of thin pressed wire in the from of sheet wrapped around wheel pair axle and fixed on it. Edges of protective shell are made in the form of polyline (5), coupled in staggered order and fixed on wheel pair axle by bracings (6) installed at certain intervals and by rod (7) passed through bracings.EFFECT: improved axle protection against action of external mechanical impact loadings considering change of material properties under influence of ambient temperature fluctuations.2 cl, 2 dwg
