[Class 120 (ii).] Drawing-rollers 6, Fig. 1, are formed with a flexible cover 1 of leather, rubber, fabric or felt which is rigid at the ends of the operative portion of the roller and elastic or flexible intermediate the ends. The cover rests on two collars 4, 5 forming rigid supports, so that in operation the covers 8, 9 yield intermediately as shown in Fig. 3. The supports may be formed integral with the cover 1, Fig. 2. The spaces 7 may be filled with a soft or elastic substance, while the covered roller may be used in combination with a rigid roller 16, Fig. 4, or with a rigid roller 18 having a soft or elastic cover 19, Fig. 5.
