PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drive a switching element without increasing a loss thereof even in an environment with the same heating coil and a different input voltage.SOLUTION: An induction heating apparatus includes: a rectification circuit 23 for rectifying and smoothing an input AC voltage into a DC voltage; a high frequency inverter circuit 22 for supplying a high frequency current to the induction heating coil; a switching element 28 included in the high frequency inverter circuit 22; and a control circuit 29 for controllingly turning on and off the switching element 28. A first induction heating coil 25 and a second induction heating coil 26 are two radially or axially arranged coils with aligned central axes. The control circuit 29 switches the connection of the first induction heating coil 25 and the second induction heating coil 26 in accordance with the voltage of the input AC voltage or the DC voltage. The configuration can produce predetermined input power without increasing a loss of the switching element even in an environment with a different input voltage. |
