摘要 According to the present invention, disclosed are a force sensor using an optical fiber, which can more precisely measure an external force, and a catheter using the same. According to the present invention, the force sensor comprises: an optical fiber having a curved region which is bent by an external force; a transceiving module sending an input optical signal to one end of the optical fiber and measuring the amount of light of an output optical signal passing through the optical fiber; and a calculation unit calculating an external force applied to the optical fiber by using the amount of light of the output optical signal which is measured in the transceiving module. Thus, provided is an apparatus which can accurately calculate an external force.
