<p>An image forming apparatus (100) configures a normal transfer potential in a yellow primary transfer unit (7Y), and configures a transfer potential (e.g. 0 volt) which does not cause any retransfer phenomenon of a yellow measurement image in image carriers (1M, 1C, 1K) located on the downstream side of the yellow primary transfer unit (7Y). When a color difference (”E) obtained from a reference density and a density of a measurement image on an intermediate transfer belt (6) becomes equal to or larger than a prescribed value (e.g. 3), the image forming apparatus (100) determines that multinary-color density adjustment is required.</p> |
