<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner allowing to prevent failure and to improve appearance. <P>SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner includes: a body 3 for storing an electric blower 10 inside; a dust collecting container 20 which is removably arranged on a dust collecting chamber 8 formed on the body 3 and which has an inlet 32 opened in a peripheral surface; and an intake passage 27 of air flow which is arranged on the body 3 and connected to the inlet 32. The intake passage 27 is extended vertically and has a bent portion 54 bent in an L shape at a lower end.
