<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine for performing authentication between control devices and determining correctness, the game machine being restored to a state before power failure even if the power interruption occurs during the authentication. <P>SOLUTION: A game play microcomputer includes an encrypted communication unit, a proper connection determining unit, a determination result storing unit, and a shooting control device. The microcomputer is configured to perform: power interruption processing for storing a power interruption flag in a memory and waiting until power interruption, with a power interruption detecting signal as a performance starting condition; and power-on processing for holding game information when the power interruption flag has a predetermined value, and initializing the memory when the power interruption flag has a value other than the predetermined value. Power-on processing is performed; direction for starting mutual authentication is set on the proper connection determining unit; after starting performance of the mutual authentication, the determination result storing unit is made to repeat determination until a predetermined determination result is stored; and determination as to whether the power interruption detecting signal as the condition for starting the power interruption processing is detected or not is repeatedly performed.
